In fact, the integrated rail segment allows users to mount not only weapon-oriented night vision monocular, they provide a perfect mounting platform for magnifiers for long-range target identification. Furthermore, creative application means you can even flip it around and use the elevated platform for laser devices such as DBAL and PEQ-15 useful when you have a gun-cam mounted over your rail to record all your actions, so the laser will clear the gun-cam! Finally, the large center cut-out not only reduce overall weight, it allows see-through for back-up iron sights without removing your primary combat optic. This is the one mount that does-it-all!
