In the ever-changing battlefield of the late 20th and early 21st century, American military forces needed a precision rifle that was flexible enough to meet the shifting demands of urban counter insurgent warfare. The desire was for a rifle with the precision, range and power of a conventional bolt action rifle, but paired with the portability, follow up speed and portability of the standard issues M4 / M16 rifles. The solution came in the form of the SR25 rifle. Chambered in the powerful 7.62x51 NATO cartridge, the SR25 provided superior power and range over the standard 5.56mm round of the M16. When paired with its match grade barrel and free float RIS handguard the SR25 became a formidable and flexible rifle that is capable of being fielded in vast expanses of open space, or in the close confines of today's urban battlefield. The Matrix series of SR25 Airsoft AEGs brings a variety of offerings to the table, providing a platform for every level of player. Available in both black and tan with metal or polymer receivers, the Matrix SR25 series of AEGs comes in standard fixed stock configuration or the "K" configuration with an adjustable crane style stock.
