The AK-105, in many eyes, is the perfect AK variant, long enough for mid range engagements, short enough for close quarter engagements and featuring the ability to fold down for increased mobility for use inside vehicles and concealment. Knowing this, the techs here at Evike.com took this highly capable platform and brought it to the next level with modern enhancements providing not only improved ergonomics, but improved usability and options as well. Starting at the rear of the Volk you will find the classic side folding stock that AK enthusiasts have come to know and love. This style of stock provides exceptional shoulder weld when the rifle is being deployed as well as a small profile and ability to fold for decreased overall length. We've added a CYMA 600rd polymer magazine to provide additional options for the shooter. Moving forward to the hand guard is where we find the most important addition to the Volk AEG. One weakness of the AK-100 series is its complete absence of any form of rail interface other than the dovetail optic mount. However, with the Volk we have removed this weakness and taken the front end into modern times with an upper and lower rail system. The lower handguard has been replaced with the Zenimei B-10M Aluminum tactical railed handguard. This addition provides rails at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, allowing the end user to attach a vertical fore-grip or any other accessories. In addition to the lower rail, our techs have installed the Zenimei RK-6 short vertical grip to improve the operator's control over the rifle. This particular grip also presents the distinct advantage of being short enough to avoid the issue of your VFG blocking magazine reloads. Last but not least, in conjunction with the lower rail, the Zenimei B-12 upper rail has been added to the Volk. This addition provides even further customization by the end user, allowing the installation of a red dot optic as well as tactical light or even an action camera to capture each exciting moment on the field.
