The MP5 or Maschinenpistole 5 is a German machine pistol chambered in 9mm and manufactured by Heckler & Koch in the 1960s. Similar to the G3 in terms of functionality, the MP5 was popularized by the British SAS and made numerous appearances in popular culture. Today, it is without doubt one of the most popular SMGs of all time. Building on its success, the weapon is available in numerous variants, including the MP5A1, MP5A2, MP5A3, MP5A4 and MP5A5.
